Max Profit Per Trade (60% Clip)

Updated 30 October 2026

The Max Profit Per Trade rule caps how much any single trade can contribute to your profit or withdrawal target.

One trade counts toward at most 60% of your target. If a trade's open profit touches the cap at any moment, that trade's ENTIRE profit is removed when it closes, even if it closes lower, not just the amount over the cap. The whole profit leaves your balance and equity, counts nothing toward your target, and is noted on the trade in your history. Your account is never breached for profit.

Example ($1,000 target — cap is $600)

  • Trade closes at +$450 and never touched $600: all $450 counts toward your target.
  • Trade touches +$600, then you close it at +$450: the whole $450 is removed and noted on the trade in your history.
  • Trade closes at +$800: the whole $800 is removed.
  • In every case the account stays active.

Partial closes of the same position are combined, so splitting one winner into several closes does not create several caps. You get a warning on screen shortly before the cap, and the trade in your history shows exactly what was removed.

What this rule is not

FundedCobra does not require profits spread across a set number of days or trades, and this rule never reduces your payout split.

Daily profit cap (Cobra Prime and Cobra Strike)

These accounts also have a $3,000 daily profit cap. Closed profit above $3,000 in one trading day (00:00–00:00 UTC), counted after Max Profit Per Trade, is removed from the balance. It never breaches the account.

Accounts opened under an earlier rulebook follow the rule card shown on the account itself.
