What instruments can I trade?

Updated 30 October 2026

The instrument list inside your selected trading platform is the source of truth for what is currently available.

CobraTerminal markets

CobraTerminal supports available instruments across:

  • Forex — major, minor, and selected exotic pairs
  • Metals — including Gold and Silver
  • Energy — including available Oil markets
  • Cryptocurrency — including available major crypto pairs
  • Indices — only when the relevant market-data feed is enabled

An instrument can be temporarily disabled when a reliable licensed price feed is unavailable. If it is marked unavailable in the terminal, new orders cannot be placed on it.

Leverage by asset class

  • Forex majors: up to 1:100 (exotic pairs 1:66)
  • Gold and silver: 1:20
  • Platinum, palladium and copper: 1:50
  • Indices: 1:20
  • Energy (oil and gas): 1:50
  • Bitcoin and Ethereum: 1:10 (other crypto 1:5)

Cobra Prime and Cobra Strike use lower leverage: forex 1:50; metals, indices, energy and other commodities 1:10; crypto 1:2.

Cobra Venom (every Venom account, old and new, from 30 October 2026): all metals are 1:10 (gold, silver, platinum, palladium and copper). Forex, indices, energy and crypto are as listed above.

Leverage only caps position size. Your loss limits are the rules that matter: on a $5,000 account a full-size gold position hits the 1.5% floating-loss line on a move of a few dollars, so size trades from the limit, not from the leverage.

Market hours follow the underlying instrument. Forex and most traditional markets close for their normal sessions and weekend break; supported crypto markets may remain open outside Forex hours.
