High-Frequency Trading (HFT)
Updated 30 October 2026
High-Frequency Trading (HFT) is absolutely prohibited on FundedCobra servers.
What is HFT?
HFT refers to automated algorithmic programs that place rapid-fire orders (often dozens or hundreds per second) to capture microscopic price movements.
Why is it banned?
In the real world, HFT requires multi-million dollar co-located server setups directly at the exchange to beat retail traders to the punch.
In a simulated prop firm environment, HFT bots do not trade the market; they exploit latency delays in the retail data feed. Because a simulated environment fills orders at the quoted price, an HFT bot can generate massive simulated profits that are completely impossible to replicate in the live, real-money market.
Enforcement
Our risk algorithms monitor the server for unnatural execution speeds, tick scalping, and latency arbitrage.
- No rapid-fire orders placed by scripts.
- If you use an HFT bot to pass an evaluation or trade a funded account, all profits will be wiped, the account will be breached, and you will be banned from the platform.
