Help Center Trading rules Consecutive Same-Direction Trades
Consecutive Same-Direction Trades
Updated 30 October 2026
On a paid account no rule limits how many trades in a row you place in the same direction on the same symbol, and doing so never breaches your account. The platform does hold you to at most 4 open positions per pair in one direction: a 5th is refused until one closes.
This rule was removed from paid accounts on 18 July 2026. If you have read about a "fourth consecutive trade" rule elsewhere, it no longer applies to you.
Where it still applies
The Free Challenge and Cobra Squad accounts keep the original limit:
- Up to three consecutive trades in the same direction on one symbol
- The fourth breaches the account
These accounts are free, so they keep the stricter original rulebook.
