Allowed Instruments and Leverage

Updated 30 October 2026

Trade only instruments currently shown as available inside your selected platform. CobraTerminal offers available Forex, Metals, Energy, Crypto, and Index markets, but an instrument may be disabled when its market or reliable price feed is unavailable.

Leverage by asset class

  • Forex majors: up to 1:100 (exotic pairs 1:66)
  • Gold and silver: 1:20
  • Platinum, palladium and copper: 1:50
  • Indices: 1:20
  • Energy (oil and gas): 1:50
  • Bitcoin and Ethereum: 1:10 (other crypto 1:5)

Cobra Prime and Cobra Strike bought from 30 October 2026 use lower leverage: forex 1:50; metals, indices, energy and other commodities 1:10; crypto 1:2.

Cobra Venom (every Venom account, old and new, from 30 October 2026): all metals are 1:10 (gold, silver, platinum, palladium and copper). Forex, indices, energy and crypto are as listed above.

Leverage only caps position size. Your loss limits are the rules that matter: on a $5,000 account a full-size gold position hits the 1.5% floating-loss line on a move of a few dollars, so size trades from the limit, not from the leverage.

The trading platform applies the correct leverage automatically when calculating margin. Market hours also vary by instrument; a closed market cannot accept a new order.
