Spreads and Commission
Updated 30 October 2026
Every trade has two costs. Both are shown to you before and after you trade.
1. The spread
The spread is the small gap between the buy price and the sell price. It is how far in profit the market has to move before your trade breaks even.
Our spreads are variable — they follow the real market. They are tighter when markets are calm and wider during volatile moments, such as major news releases. This is exactly how a live broker prices, and it is why we do not publish one fixed number.
Recent typical pricing:
| Instrument | Typical spread |
|---|---|
| Gold (XAUUSD) | around $0.33 – $0.89 |
| EUR/USD | from around 1.7 pips |
| Silver (XAGUSD) | around $0.036 – $0.044 |
These are examples, not a promise. During news the spread can be several times wider, and there is no fixed maximum.
You can always see the current spread in the trading terminal — it is displayed at the top of the chart for the instrument you are viewing.
2. Commission
Commission is charged once, when you open a trade. It is a round-turn charge, so nothing further is charged when you close. The rate depends on what you trade:
| What you trade | Commission |
|---|---|
| Forex, gold, silver, oil | $3.00 per lot |
| Crypto | 0.05% of the position value |
| Indices (US100, US500, US30) | No commission — spread only |
Forex, gold, silver, oil — $3.00 per lot:
| Your trade size | Commission |
|---|---|
| 0.01 lots | $0.03 |
| 0.10 lots | $0.30 |
| 1.00 lot | $3.00 |
Crypto — 0.05% of position value. Position value = lots × price. This way the charge always matches the size of your trade, whether the coin costs $100,000 or $0.10:
| Example trade | Position value | Commission |
|---|---|---|
| 0.10 lots BTC at $100,000 | $10,000 | $5.00 |
| 1.00 lot ETH at $4,000 | $4,000 | $2.00 |
| 10 lots SOL at $200 | $2,000 | $1.00 |
The commission is deducted from your balance the moment the trade opens, and it appears on that trade in your account history — so you can always check exactly what you were charged.
(Before 22 August 2026, a flat $3.00 per lot applied to all instruments.)
Why it works this way
Fixed spreads that never move do not reflect a real market. Charging a visible commission and passing through genuine market spreads is the standard model used by serious brokers, and it means the pricing you trade on is the pricing that actually exists.
Both costs count toward your account's profit and loss, so factor them into your targets.
